now it is recognized as sdb, so for installing the firmware you should move it to the lefthand slot so it is recognized as sda

This doesn't come from fvdw-sl kernel, must be something else, probably you arer sending a SysRq (break) via the telnet client.

The SysRq facility is a method of interacting with the kernel directly, and is normally used when the switch/device is hung or not working correctly. There are several triggers to reach SysRq and it is possible that one of them may have been invoked inadvertently. These triggers include:

Pressing the SysRq key while connected to the console
Pressing the Break key while connected to the console
Issuing a Send Break from a telnet session into the switch
Issuing echo ? > /proc/sysrq-trigger

Hi!

I´m having a issue with booting the NAS.
I managed to install the firmware, as I did before, and have manage the nas do boot normaly anda have web access.
But when it reboots, it only reboots normaly some times.
The other times, the rear right and the front light blinks blue and red, for 5sec. Than both rear light came solid blue, and after 3sec. the front light starts blinking red for 2sec. and the system shutdown.
:elec)
Can my boot load be corrupted??

Thanks for the help!
