you can use the command in telnet
Code: Select all
reboot -f

or
Code: Select all
poweroff -f

Maybe the last is better as you need to interupt boot again with the fvdw-sl console

Ugh, I closed the tftp window by accident and the program crashed. I need to power off with the switch now, right? I can't connect again with the fvdw console to power down, can I?

root@(none):/ # e2fsck -y /dev/sdb
e2fsck 1.41.14 (22-Dec-2010)
e2fsck: Superblock invalid, trying backup blocks...
e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sdb

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>

root@(none):/ # e2fsck -y /dev/sda
e2fsck 1.41.14 (22-Dec-2010)
e2fsck: Superblock invalid, trying backup blocks...

Eeks.

I'm afraid I made a mistake. Can you post the output of
Code: Select all
ls -l /dev/sdc
